Vestry representative: Susan Sprake Objective: To facilitate and promate social functions that: - Bring us together as a church family, gathered in love and forgiveness;
- Help us to grow in our faith;
- Provide opportunities for us to use our gifts and talents or develop new ones;
- Allow us to give and get the support and encouragement needed to be sent forth to serve;
Ministry Meetings - We do not have regular meetings at this time. Look in Bulletin, Tidings, and Webpage for future meetings. Volunteer opportunities (talk to ministry chair for details): - Organize a special event (e.g. Annual picnic, Deanery lunch)
- Volunteer to make coffee on Sunday
- Decorate for a special event
- Do public relations for events (blurbs in bulletin, Tidings, newspaper)
- Photograph social events
- Bulletin Board/Scrapbooking artist
- Remind Volunteer (call people who have volunteered a few days before event to remind them)
- Prayer Team - sign up to pray for Parish Life to fullfill our objectives not just throw good parties
- Get on email list asking for volunteers to bring food to an event or for setup and cleanup
- Sign-up for a particular event when it is advertised in the Narthex or bulletin
- Donate art supplies to make posters or decorations
- Donate plastic containers to store party supplies (beads, decorations, etc.)
Activities:
- Support (plan, coordinate, prepare and assist) all parish-wide potluck meals and First Sunday breakfasts
- Arrange for coffee hour after services, including donut delivery
- Organize Fellowship dinners
- Facilitate Women's Fellowship Group:Women Alive in Mind, Body and Spirit
- Facilitate Men's Fellowship Group
- Support receptions: newcomers, seniors, Bishop's visit, Evensongs, and others
- Support special events: Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, Lenten soup suppers, Paschal meals, picnics
- Support diocesan events at TOTH, such as Deanery meetings and diocesan youth meetings
- Provide information, if needed, to those holding private receptions at TOTH
- Oversee the kitchen facilities and supplies
- Conduct and update, if necessary, the annual inventory of the kitchen facilities
