What is a vestry?
In the Episcopal tradition, the Vestry is what other churches might call a church board. It’s the leadership body responsible for the parish. Vestry members are legal representatives and agents of the Parish, charged with specific responsibilities by the Canons of the Episcopal Church. They share leadership responsibilities with the Rector.
